We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

Paid Subscriptions

For paid plans, you agree to:

• Provide accurate billing information
• Pay all fees according to the selected plan
• Keep your payment information current
• Be responsible for any taxes associated with your subscription

Billing & Renewals

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• We will notify you before renewal charges
• You can cancel anytime through your account settings
• Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle

Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for all paid plans. After 7 days, refunds are provided at our discretion for extenuating circumstances.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Originex services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

Permitted Uses

• Educational purposes by instructors and institutions
• Research and scholarly activities

Prohibited Activities

Document Ownership

You retain all rights to documents you upload. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Zero Repository Policy

In accordance with our Privacy Policy:

• Your documents are never stored in any permanent database
• All documents are permanently deleted immediately after analysis
• We do not use your documents to train AI models or improve algorithms
• Your content is never shared with third parties

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and legality of content you upload
• Ensuring you have the right to check uploaded documents
• Proper citation and attribution in your work
• Compliance with copyright and intellectual property laws

7. Intellectual Property

Our IP

Originex and all related trademarks, logos, software, and content are our exclusive property or licensed to us. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our software or content
• Use our trademarks without permission
• Create derivative works based on our services
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices

Your IP

Your uploaded documents and any original content you create remain your property. We claim no rights to your work.

License Grant

By uploading content, you grant us a limited, temporary license to:

• Process your documents for plagiarism detection
• Generate reports based on your content
• Display results to you through our platform

This license terminates immediately after processing is complete.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of plagiarism detection results
• Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free service
• That our services will meet your requirements

While we strive for accuracy, plagiarism detection is not an exact science. You are responsible for reviewing and interpreting results in the context of your specific situation and institutional requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ORIGINEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Academic penalties or institutional consequences
• Any decisions made based on our plagiarism reports
• Service interruptions or technical issues

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Originex, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your violation of any rights of third parties
• Your uploaded content or its use
• Any academic or legal consequences resulting from your use of our services

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through your account settings or contacting us.

By Us

We may terminate or suspend your account if you:

• Engage in prohibited activities
• Fail to pay applicable fees
• Pose a security risk to our services
• Use our services for illegal purposes

Effect of Termination

• Your right to use our services immediately ceases
• All your data and reports will be deleted within 30 days
• You remain responsible for any fees owed prior to termination
• Sections on intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination
